Assistant Care Manager (Job Description)

Details: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm; Must be able to work flexible schedule and shifts including overnights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college/university in social work, psychology or other social services related field, and one one year of experience working with this population

Description:The primary responsibility of the Assistant Care Manager is to provide program services to intervene with children & youths being served in the group home. The position’s job responsibilities include leading direct treatment services through use of the agency’s model of care, providing residential care services, and working with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives in the home and community settings. The Assistant Care Manager reports directly to the Care Manager and acts as “primary point of contact” when the manager is not present.

Care Manager (Job Description)

Details: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Must be able to work flexible schedule and shifts including overnights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college/university in social work, psychology or other social services related field, and one one year of experience working with this population

Description: The primary responsibility of the Care Manager is to provide supervision of program operations and services to children and youth served in the homes. The position’s job responsibilities include property management, personnel, and staffing, training, direct treatment services through the use of the agency’s model of care, providing and supervising residential care services, and working with adolescents, families, volunteers, and community representatives in the home and community settings. It is imperative that the Care Manager understands the Core Values and Mission of Methodist Children’s Home. The Care Manager reports directly to the Director of Residential Services.

Community Care Coordinator (Job Description)

Details: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Must be able to work flexible schedule and shifts including overnights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college/university in mental health related field, and a minimum of two years of case manager, management and supervisor experience of a child care program

Description: The Community Care Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services, maintains an active caseload providing a comprehensive array of therapeutic and case management services to clients and their families within the community. Goals of the services provided by the Care Coordinator include actively engaging clients and families to become involved with the care and treatment of the client, family reunification and/or permanency and the successful achievement of identified goals set forth by Mississippi Department of Human Services (“MDHS”), Department of Mental Health (“MDMH”) and/or Mississippi Department of Medicaid (“MDOM”). Overall delivery of services shall include conducting visits with clients within their homes, schools and/or MCH Community Counseling Center.

Child Care Counselor (Job Description)

Details: F2 shift (Sunday: 8:30 am - 10:30; Monday: 2:30 pm- 10:30 pm; Tuesday: 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm; Wednesday: 12:30 pm - 10:30 pm); Must be able to work flexible schedule and shifts including overnights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time

Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college; or Associate’s Degree in related field and one (1) year experience working with client population; or High School Diploma and three (3) years working with client population.

Description:The primary responsibility of the Child Care Counselor is to provide program services to intervene with children & youths being served in the group home. Development Assistant - Part Time (Job Description)

Details: 20 hours/week, flexible schedule (between hours of 8:30am and 4:30pm Monday - Friday)

Requirements: Minimum of one year of experience in development or communications.

Description: The part time Development Assistant is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the organizations fundraising and communication efforts.

Foster Care Community Specialist - Brookhaven (Job Description)

Details: 50 mile radius of Brookhaven, MS. 40 hours/week - flexible schedule required.

Requirements: Must posses a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field. Also, must have a minimum of two years as case manager, management & supervisor experience of a child care program. Also, must be, at minimum, provisionally certified as a Community Support Specialist by DMH within 90 days of hire.

Description: The Foster Care Community Specialist maintains an active caseload providing a comprehensive array of therapeutic and case management services to clients in the Brookhaven, MS area.

Development Officer (Job Description)

Details: 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday - Friday

Requirements: Minimum of one year of experience in development or communications.

Description: The Development Officer is primarily responsible for processing gifts, managing accurate donor records, assisting with communication pieces and writing foundation and corporate grants.
